Transfigured Glass gets its name from transfigure /ˌtran(t)sˈfiɡ(y)ər/ meaning transform into something more beautiful or elevated.
All the glass pieces here are created from the remnants of glass left over from the glass blowing process. There is always some glass left on the pipe or trimmed from what is being made. I save and sort these pieces which would otherwise be tossed and reform them into beautiful one of a kind pieces. All Pieces are signed by the artist.
10% from the profits of the transfigured glass sold with be donated to an organization that works to create Marine Protected Areas. Marine protected areas (MPAs) – like national parks on land – set aside dedicated coastal and marine environments for conservation. By protecting these special places, we can help our oceans, and the wildlife and people who depend on them, to thrive. The two organizations I donate to are Oceana and Ocean Conservancy.
